Cala Galdana
On the south coast of Menorca, lies one of the island's most picturesque resorts, Cala Galdana. Holidays in Cala Galdana are centred round a pretty horseshoe-shaped bay set against a beautiful backdrop of limestone cliffs and pine forests. If you are lucky enough to bag accommodation at the top of the cliff, you can enjoy magnificent views over the bay. Although do bare in mind, the steep climb back up from the beach is not for the faint-hearted.

Those looking for a livelier atmosphere can head to the neighbouring resorts of Cala n Porter and Son Bou. Cala Galdana is situated 22 miles west of Mahon, the Menorcan capital and airport. Public transport provides links to Mahon and Ciutadella. Mahon is renowned for its excellent shopping and bustling harbour. The nearby historic town of Ciudadela is well worth a visit, with its maze of narrow streets and pretty harbour.
